Insights is where fsyncDATA members publish what they have learned running production data platforms. Every article is written by a member and approved by an editor before it is published.
What we publish
- Incident write-ups and post-mortems, with the engine and version named and the customer never named.
- Migrations and upgrades: what was planned, what broke, the rollback that was ready.
- Reference designs, decision records and cost analyses with real numbers or clearly labelled illustrative ones.
- Leadership notes on running a GCC data estate: platform ownership, talent, the HQ relationship.
What we do not publish
- Anything that sells a product or service, including your employer’s.
- Confidential figures, customer names or anything said in a session under Chatham House.
- Material copied from another author, vendor or document.
How review works
- 01Be an approved member. Only approved members can sign in and write.
- 02Draft in the editor. Write and format your article, then choose Submit for Review. You cannot publish it yourself.
- 03An editor reviews it. Every submission is read against the charter. The editor may publish it, suggest changes or decline it with a reason.
- 04Published under your name. Approved articles appear in Insights with your name and a link to your member profile.
